Dr. Kate Mangels grew up in a small farming community in Southern Illinois. Upon graduating high school, she accepted a dance scholarship and continued her education at Lindenwood University located in the Saint Louis, Missouri region. While at Lindenwood University, she majored in Exercise Science while also serving as a member of the Lindenwood Student Government. Upon graduation, she enrolled at Logan University to pursue her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. While at Logan, Dr. Mangels was a member of the Student Government. She also held research roles with the Department of Radiology along with being elected to the FTCS National Student Leadership Team which is an evidence-based practice organization. Her research focus consisted primarily of non-surgical treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Dr. Mangels also earned her Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University. She pursued additional education in the fields of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Perinatal Manual Care, and Nutritional Studies. Dr. Mangels specializes in treating pediatric populations, pregnant women struggling with back and neck pain, acupuncture, functional medicine, and nutritional counseling. She has a strong passion for women’s healthcare and specializes in treating common conditions affecting women. In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Mangels obtained 100 hours of Acupuncture training during chiropractic school and enjoys integrating acupuncture into her practice as a complementary therapy. Dr. Mangels is passionate about patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient has a voice in their treatment plan. She values evidence-based techniques and guidelines to provide the highest quality of care while fostering a collaborative and individualized approach to healing. Dr. Mangels enjoys spending time with her husband Cooper and their two golden doodles, Charli & Wallace. Her favorite hobbies consist of trying new coffee shops, exercising with her family, and traveling.
