Dr. Patterson was raised in a small town in Illinois. Upon graduation, he accepted an athletic scholarship to play baseball at Lindenwood University, a private institution in the Saint Louis, Missouri region. While at Lindenwood University he majored in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition, while also being a member of the University’s Honors College and serving on several student committees. Upon graduation, Dr. Patterson received University Honors and Cum Laude distinction, while also receiving nine other academic awards and achievements. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree he gained acceptance into the Doctor of Chiropractic program at Logan University. While at Logan University, Dr. Patterson excelled academically while also holding a research position in partnership with the Department of Radiology where he specialized in neurobiology, neurophysiology, and pain science. During his time in this role, he was given the opportunity to work with and learn from Medical Doctors in the Integrative and Preventative Medicine Division at Harvard University. Dr. Patterson completed his externship in the greater Saint Louis, Missouri region holding positions at both academic institutions and private practices.
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Patterson prides himself on his evidence-based approach. He is passionate about enhancing patients’ lives by eliminating pain and improving function through conservative care. He prioritizes fostering the doctor-patient relationship and designing treatment plans that are specific to the patient, their preferences, their condition, and their personal goals. He is committed to a highly individualized approach that prioritizes non-surgical options for the treatment of osteoarthritis, chronic back and neck pain, disc disease, disc herniation, nerve compression, spinal stenosis, and a variety of disorders and injuries. In the case that a patient is not a candidate for chiropractic care, Dr. Patterson works in conjunction with multiple providers to ensure that his patients are receiving proper care. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Patterson prioritizes spending time with his wife, Kate, and their two dogs, Charli and Wallace. As for hobbies, he is an avid outdoorsman passionate about hunting and fishing. He also enjoys golf and watching sporting events.
